DiGiovanni - Term Project Idea

One idea I had for a term project would be to research the use of 3D laser scanning for different purposes in the industry, such as updating BIM Models and to design future buildings. On my part time job, we have currently contracted a team to scan areas of our facility, this is to help update the area model and also to plan future construction.
