B3: Revit v. Other Software
Revit, first released in April of 2000, is the current drafting program of choice for Architectural engineers. It has the major advantage of design and display in 3D.

revit is good for classes of materials.
associated information and properties/families, plugins and exporting, cost analysis, scheduling.
- revit has one file per project - or one per discipline
- slows down with more elements added
- no where near as many as you would in autocad.
- leves, multiple views, structural floor, datum wherever you want it.
