Jordan Shuster: Intelligent Building Definition
My definition of intelligent building is a structure that has technology allowing it to be receptive of human interaction and with the ability to adapt automatically to use. This adaptation happens over time, as the building's program has a chance to "learn" its occupants' patterns of use, and may have to do with a number of the buildings functions, including HVAC, lighting, shading, acoustics, and more.
