Week1 - Isaac Quelly - Introductions

Hello everyone,

My name is Peter Quelly, but I prefer to be called by my middle name, Isaac. It is something that my parents started when I was really young (my dad's name is also Peter and it made it more clear that I was not a Jr.) and it has stuck to this day. I have never realy felt like a "Peter" or "Pete". I first got into engineering because I have always been interested in the sciences, and I was great at physics in high school. In addition to Arch. & Civil, I am incredibly passionate about STEM Education and DragonsTeach. In my STEM Ed. career, I have participated in and won two poster presentation competitions at out national conference (2016, 2017).

As far as intelligent buildings are concerned, I have little to no experience in them. My first thoughts when I think of "intelligent buildings" are buildings previewed for a Google Home or Amazon Echo with home automation. I understand that this is probably a very small facet of what intelligent buildings are. I expect to expand this definition a great deal to include more passive and less obvious/seamless technologies (that is also not limited to electronics).
